Environmental Management



        Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
       EIA is a study to identify, predict, evaluate and communicate information about the impacts on the environment of a proposed project and to detail out the mitigating measures prior to project approval and implementation. There are 19 activities that falls under prescribed activities which require the submission of EIA. 

       Environmental Management Plan (EMP)
         EMP document  states in  explicit terms what actions will be taken, what measures will be instituted, what structures will be built, what will be installed, when the actions will be executed; etc. in order for the project activities to be compliant  with the EIA approval conditions.

Environmental Monitoring & Auditing (EMA)
         All action taken and equipment used for the purpose of detecting and measuring quantitatively or qualitatively the present, amount, or level of any substances, characters or effect related to the environmental regulatory requirements.

Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
         Preparing condusive ERP report for industries which consists the implementation of emergency response procedure, evacuation plans etc.

Written Permission (KB)
         Written permission to construct involving Section 19 of the EQA, 1974 for prescribed premises - scheduled wastes treatment and disposal facilities, crude palm oil mills and raw natural rubber processing mills.

License
         License application for industries which falls under Section 18 & 18(A) EQA 1974. Each types of industrial have their own license submission.

Environmental Assessment (EA)
         Process of estimating and evaluating significant short-term and long-term effects of a program or project on the quality of  its location’s environment.

Written Approval (KB)
         Written approval for pollution control equipment, fuel burning equipment and generator set for industrial uses.

WWTP Notification
         Notification of new/upgrade of wastewater treatment plant (IETS) for industrial uses.
